To place a fake order:

1

Go to the Brand’s Website

Go to the brand’s website (the one that is displaying you). Please note that you need to accept the cookies and use Chrome as your browser.

2

Find a Product and Open the Widget

Identify a product that you know is in stock, open the associated widget of the product on the brand’s website, open our widget and select your store to be redirected on your website.

3

Place the Test Purchase

Once there, you need to purchase this product (as a test).

4

Confirm the Tag Was Triggered

If you arrive on the confirmation page, our tag should be triggered. You can message your person of contact — they will be able to tell you if it worked.

If yes, we are done. There’s nothing else to do.

If the fake order wasn't identified in our system,

Then we will need to check if everything has been correctly triggered. Once you are on the order confirmation page, you need to inspect the website.

  • Check the Elements. By looking for c2b with a control+F you should be able to see our tag, here is an example:

  • Check the Console. If there's an error about the Click2buy tag, you’ll notice it there:

  • Check the Sources. You should be able to see your retailer ID for C2B.

  • Finally, if the cookie and everything worked, you should have the event in Network with a status of 200 and not in red.

If it is not the case please schedule a call to check everything with your Retail Account Manager at Click2Buy.
